Generally, when we receive telephone calls or emails requesting our services, we collect customers’:

The purpose for gathering this information is to identify the owner of each request for services, diarise that work, communicate regarding dates and arrange for payment for our services.
The legal grounds for gathering and processing this information include:
- Consent by the customer to provide that information in order for us to arrange and deliver the services;
- Necessity for us to perform the contract for services between us and our customers; and
- Legitimate interests in knowing these details in order to arrange and provide the services and discuss payment for the same.
Similarly, if a customer leaves a review on our website, we collect their name and any other personal information they choose to include in their review. We also collect the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
The legal grounds for gathering and processing this information are:
- Consent by the customer to provide that information as providing those reviews is entirely voluntary; and

Who we share your data with
We do not share any of the personal data we collect with any third-party providers.
How long we retain your data
We have no fixed policy on how long we retain your personal data. Whether you call or email us, your details will be included in a hardcopy diary and will remain in there for as long as you continue to require our services. Your name and telephone number will sometimes also be saved into a mobile telephone.
If you indicate that you no longer require our services, your personal data would be erased. When this diary is full, it is securely disposed of.
We keep copies of relevant emails until the most recent relevant job has been completed. Once the job an email relates to has been completed, we delete those emails.
What rights you have over your data
If you use this site, or have provided any personal data in the course of requesting our services or otherwise, you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Where we send your data
We do not transfer any data, either from this site or otherwise, outside the European Union.
If you provide a review on our website, or submit a request via our contact form, that may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
If you have any privacy-specific concerns, you should address them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
What data breach procedures we have in place
In light of the services we provide and the fact that the scale of our gathering of personal data is very limited, the risk of any data breaches is extremely low. We therefore have no specific procedures in place to deal with data breaches but we are aware of our obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 and Data Protection Act 2018 and will duly comply with them.
